护理
性格
Even-tempered, sociable and used to living in a group. Driven and tireless when hunting, quieter at rest. Not suspicious of strangers and of little use as a guard.
运动
Needs several hours of activity most days, ideally running in open country or working in a pack. Scent trailing and long hikes suit it.
美容护理
The short coat needs a weekly rub-down. Check ears, feet and nails after outings, especially after work in woodland.
训练
Biddable within a pack routine but independent on a scent. Keep training simple, consistent and reward-based, and expect a limited recall when game is around.
健康
Bred mainly for work and generally hardy; hip dysplasia and ear infections are the issues most often mentioned. Ask the breeder for hip results of the parents.

关于该犬种
The Grand Anglo-Français Tricolore was created in France in the 19th century by crossing large French hounds, notably the Poitevin and Billy types, with English Foxhounds. The goal was a hound with French nose and voice plus the stamina and toughness of the Foxhound, working in packs on deer and wild boar.
Most of these hounds still live in kennels as members of hunting packs. They are calm and friendly with people and get on very well with other dogs, but they need space, company and real exercise. As a single pet in town it is rarely a good match.
你知道吗?
In France most Grand Anglo-Français hounds are kept in packs belonging to hunting crews (équipages) rather than as single family dogs.
