Sobre a raça

The Pug comes from China, where short-faced small dogs were kept at court for centuries. Dutch traders brought them to Europe in the sixteenth century, and they became linked to the House of Orange and later to fashionable homes across Europe.

Pugs are sociable, easy-going and very people-focused. They like to follow their owners around and are usually friendly to visitors, children and other pets. Their exercise needs are modest, but their flat faces make them prone to breathing problems and overheating. Choosing a puppy from parents with good breathing assessments matters a great deal in this breed.

Sabia que…?

The Pug's traditional motto is multum in parvo, meaning a lot in a little.
