Calm, self-assured and loyal, affectionate with family and wary of strangers. It can be dominant with other dogs.

Moderate daily walks and active play; obedience, scent work and strength-based games suit it.

Sobre a raça
The Majorca Mastiff, known locally as Ca de Bou ("bull dog"), developed on the Balearic Islands from Spanish guard dogs and dogs brought by British forces in the 18th century. It was used for guarding and, sadly, for bull-baiting and dog fighting, and it almost disappeared in the 20th century before enthusiasts revived it.
Today it is a calm family dog with a strong guarding instinct. It is affectionate and loyal to its people and wary of strangers. Early socialisation and consistent training are key.
