Sobre a raça
The Bracco Italiano is one of the oldest pointing breeds, with dogs of this type shown in Italian Renaissance art and kept by noble families for bird hunting. Two regional types, a lighter Piedmontese and a heavier Lombard dog, were eventually merged into one breed.
It hunts with a distinctive high-headed trot and is gentle, affectionate and somewhat sensitive at home. It is usually good with children and other dogs. Expect drool, a stubborn streak at times and a strong need for daily exercise.
Sabia que…?
Two regional types once existed, a lighter orange-and-white dog from Piedmont and a heavier brown roan dog from Lombardy.
