Sobre la raza
The Welsh Terrier is one of the older British terrier breeds, used in Wales to hunt foxes, otters and badgers alongside hounds. It was first shown under its own name in the 1880s and keeps much of its working instinct.
At home it is cheerful, affectionate and generally good with children, though it can be bossy with other dogs and is keen to chase small animals. It needs exercise, mental stimulation and a secure garden. Its wiry coat sheds very little, but needs regular stripping or clipping to stay neat.
¿Sabías que…?
The Welsh Terrier was first recognised by the UK Kennel Club in 1886.
