เกี่ยวกับสายพันธุ์

The Austrian Black and Tan Hound, called Brandlbracke in Austria, is thought to descend from old Celtic-type hounds and was developed in the Austrian Alps for hunting hare and fox and tracking wounded game. Its standard was set in the late 19th century and it remains mostly a hunter's dog.

It is an elegant, athletic hound with a short, shiny black coat and tan markings, including the classic spots above the eyes. It is friendly and fairly easy-going with its family, but it has a strong nose and stamina for long days in the mountains. It needs work and space more than city life.

รู้หรือไม่

Its Austrian name 'Brandlbracke' refers to the fire-coloured tan markings, including the spots above its eyes.
