O rasie
The German Longhaired Pointer, or Deutsch Langhaar, is one of the older German hunting dog types, descended from long-haired bird dogs. In the late 19th century it was refined into a versatile hunting dog that points, retrieves, tracks and works in water, and German breeding still requires working tests.
It is quieter and more even-tempered than many pointers, affectionate with its family and somewhat reserved with strangers. It still needs daily exercise and meaningful work. Outside Germany it is uncommon, and most dogs are bred with hunting in mind.
Czy wiesz, że…?
In Germany breeding dogs of this breed are generally expected to pass hunting performance tests.
