Opieka
Charakter
Gentle, calm and affectionate, with a dignified, sometimes stubborn side. It is usually friendly with people and other animals.
Ruch
About an hour a day of steady walking and sniffing suits it. Scent work and gentle retrieving games are good activities.
Pielęgnacja
Brush the dense coat a few times a week; it sheds quite a lot. Keep ears, eyes and facial folds clean.
Szkolenie
Responds to patient, reward-based training but can be slow and stubborn. Food motivation helps, though weight must be watched.
Zdrowie
Hip and elbow dysplasia, eyelid problems such as entropion and ectropion, back trouble and weight gain are known in the breed. Ask the breeder for hip and elbow scores, eye results and the PDP1 result.

O rasie
The Clumber Spaniel is named after Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire, the estate of the Dukes of Newcastle, where it was developed in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was bred as a slow, thorough spaniel for working game in cover, often in teams.
Today it is the heaviest spaniel and has a calm, gentle and friendly nature. It enjoys walks and sniffing but does not need intense exercise. Owners should be ready for shedding, drool and a white coat that picks up dirt. Keeping it lean and fit helps protect its joints and back.
