Calm, affable and gentle with people, very social with other dogs. Strongly driven once on a scent, so it can ignore its handler.

Needs long daily runs and ideally regular pack work. Trailing, hound exercise on horseback or bike, and long hikes suit it.

A weekly brush is enough for the short coat. Check ears and feet regularly, especially after hunting.
Latihan
Learns pack routines easily but is not naturally obedient away from them. Be patient and consistent, and plan for limited off-lead freedom.

A hardy working hound; hip dysplasia and ear infections are the problems most often seen. Ask the breeder for hip results of the parents.

This variety of the Grand Anglo-Français was developed in France by crossing white-and-black French hounds of Saintonge and Gascon type with English Foxhounds. It keeps the deep voice and fine nose of its French side and the endurance of the Foxhound, and it is used in packs on large game such as deer and boar.
It is a calm and amiable dog that lives easily with other hounds, but its needs are those of a working pack animal. It wants long runs, company and space, and it can be loud. It suits hunting households far better than town life.
