견종 소개
The Shikoku comes from the mountains of Kochi prefecture on Shikoku island, where hunters used it mainly on wild boar. It was declared a natural monument of Japan in 1937 and is sometimes still called the Kochi-ken. Several local lines contributed to the modern breed.
It is lively, athletic and quick, with a wolf-like look and a soft, affectionate side with its family. It is reserved with strangers and often selective with other dogs, and its prey drive is strong. Owners need time for exercise, training and secure fencing.
