견종 소개
The Halden Hound comes from the area around Halden in southeastern Norway, near the Swedish border. It was developed in the 19th century from local hounds crossed with English Foxhounds and other imported scenthounds.
It is used singly to hunt hare, following it through forest and snow with a clear voice. It is a strong, medium-sized dog, white with black patches and tan shading. The breed is rare and mostly kept in Norway. With its family it is gentle and good-natured, and it is usually sociable with other dogs, but it needs regular, long outdoor activity.
