Iseloom
Confident, independent and loyal, with a playful side at home. It is often aloof with strangers rather than openly friendly.
Liikumine
Needs one and a half to two hours of activity daily. Retrieving, swimming, field work and hiking suit it well.
Karvahooldus
Do not brush the curls; wet the coat and let it dry, and comb only when shedding. Occasional trimming of feathering keeps it tidy.
Koolitus
Intelligent but independent, and it gets bored with repetition. Varied, reward-based training and patience work best.
Tervis
Hip and elbow dysplasia, some eye and heart conditions, certain cancers and pattern hair loss are known in the breed. Ask the breeder for hip, elbow, eye and heart results and DNA results.

Tõust
The Curly-Coated Retriever is one of the oldest retriever breeds in Britain, developed for wildfowling and game retrieving in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its tight, water-resistant curls protected it in cold water and heavy cover.
It is taller and more independent than the Labrador or Golden Retriever and matures slowly. With family it is affectionate and playful, but it is often reserved or aloof with strangers. It needs plenty of exercise and interesting work. Its coat is easy to care for, as long as you do not brush it into frizz.
