Tõust
The Beagle-Harrier was developed in France in the late 1800s, said to be from crosses between Beagles and Harriers. The goal was a medium-sized hound fast enough for hare but able to work fox and deer as well.
It is a balanced, tricoloured hound that hunts alone or in packs. Even in France it is uncommon, and it is mostly kept by hunters. At home it is friendly, sociable and usually easy with other dogs and children, but it needs plenty of activity and opportunities to use its nose.
