O pasmini
The Griffon Bleu de Gascogne combines the blue-ticked colouring of the Gascon hounds with a harsh, shaggy coat, most likely from crosses with rough-coated griffons such as the Griffon Nivernais. It was developed for hunting hare in the rough, hilly country of the Pyrenean foothills.
It is a rustic, friendly hound that tends to be good with people and other dogs. Its coat protects it in brambles and bad weather, and it is a tireless trailer with a loud, persistent voice. It needs plenty of outdoor activity and secure fencing, and suits rural owners who enjoy hounds.
